With an art career of over 40 years in both New York City and Los Angeles, Richard Scully's art form has culminated to a fine tune visual experience.  His in-depth knowledge of art history, technique and execution, has enabled him to create masterful art in all medium "isms".  Whether it's abstract, collage, realistic drawing, or majestic landscapes, a Richard Scully art piece is always exceptional.

Mr. Scully studied artistic anatomy with Robert Hale, who had been the curator of American Art at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, NYC; Richard was awarded the Augustus St. Gauden's Medal for draftsmanship; he studied sculpture with Charles Salerno at the National Academy of Design, NYC and watercolor with Mario Cooper.  Mr. Scully studied painting with Theodore Stamos, Knox Martin and Julian Levy at the Art Students League, NYC.  In his early years as a young artist in NYC, Richard shared a studio with his teacher, friend and mentor Alvin Hollingsworth.  Richard taught Theatrical Design at the New School for Social Research, NYC; Galleries included: Barbara Ingber Gallery, NYC; West Broadway-SoHo Gallery, NYC; West 4th St. Gallery, NYC; Desmond Gallery, LA; Modern
Art Downtown, LA; the Route 66 Art Gallery, LA; Howard Swerdloff Gallery, LA; The Colonnade Art Gallery & Studio, LA; Avenue 50 Gallery, LA.  Mr. Scully is in several private collections.
